The World in Your Hands

Where Web2 gamers meet Web3 ownership, play, collect, and conquer together.

RugDollz World: Where Web2 Meets Web3 Gaming

One of the most ambitious projects we’ve built for the RugDollz universe is RugDollz World, and it’s a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. The concept began in 2023, and after overcoming multiple challenges, we’ve successfully bootstrapped our very own multiplayer game built on Unity.

RugDollz World isn’t just a single game, it’s a playable library of games, catering to different playstyles:

  • Shooter: for the trigger-happy gamers

  • Racing: for adrenaline seekers

  • Capture the Treasure: for strategists

  • Battle Royale: for all-out combat enthusiasts

We built RugDollz World as a Web2.5 game, allowing traditional gamers to play seamlessly while integrating selective blockchain elements for Web3 players. Web2 users can log in with a username and password or via Google login, while Web3 users access the game by connecting their crypto wallets, unlocking exclusive features and assets.

This hybrid approach means Web3 players gain exclusive ownership and resell rights over in-game assets, giving them full control over their digital possessions. To enable this, we introduced three Digital Game Asset collections that plug directly into the game via wallet connect. NFT detection technology automatically loads assets for Web3 players, while Web2 players earn in-game tokens through gameplay to purchase assets from the in-game marketplace.

Web3 users holding 3D RugDollz or RugTrollz NFTs unlock all characters instantly, giving real utility to our NFT collection, whereas traditional gamers must grind to unlock character skins through gameplay.

To remove barriers to entry, we’ve also converted RugDollz World to mobile, enabling cross-platform play so PC and mobile players can join the same matches. With strategic partnerships and continued development, we are excited to grow the game until RugDollz characters and RugDollz World are recognized on a global scale, bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3 gaming.
